Positive: I arrived after a motorcycle journey through torrential rain and was further delayed by a puncture in Finland. After checking in I got an email from night manager and part owner Micke which (paraphrased) said he saw how shattered I was and the sauna was on with 3 cold beers outside. I have worked and travelled around the worls including 5 start accomodation in New York and London but this hotel beat them all. The level of service delivered by all staff was top tier. Micke is a great manager and a first class communicator. When I left 2 days later I left a thank you note for Micke and 3 beers for the next weary traveller. 'Ah'll be back!!'
Negative: nada
Summary: top tier

Positive: Owner was very pleasant and accommodating. Food was fantastic!
Negative: Rooms had awkward layouts. Shower was good but bathroom had standing water, which I mopped up, due to inadequate sealant.
Summary: Great location for my purpose. Very friendly people and great food.

Positive: So far the best place to stop in the middle of Lapland travel. We have been here for the second time, and will be happy to come again. Clean, good breakfast, nice tiny city, convenient location, new or well renovated rooms. They even have sauna if you have time for that.
Negative: There are two buildings and one of them is old, which brings its consequences. But nothing critical for us, it was still well renovated, with very minor nuances. Just slightly less satisfaction, than on our previous stay.
Summary: Best place to stop in the middle of Lapland trip.

Positive: Very friendly staff that greeted us with a warm smile and polite attitude, gave us information and even walked with us to our room. Comfortable, spacious and clean room with a small kitchen and a very nice bathroom. They had snacks and drinks waiting for us in the room, free of charge. They had a nice breakfast with decent variety of food and drinks, extra points for having dairy and gluten free options.
Negative: The only downside that the walls and flooring/roof was a little thin so you could sometimes hear your hotell-neighbors, not so bad that it was a problem for us just a small annoyance.
Summary: Very pleased with our stay, extremely friendly staff and definitely a place we would visit again :)

Positive: Decent sized room equipped with two single beds put together as a double, a fridge and a small table and a chair. The wc was good but in a small space, the same with the tiny shower room. Really good breakfast buffet, served until 9 on weekdays and 10 on weekends. Nice seating in the veranda of the restaurant. Also, dinner servings are of good quality. Plenty of free parking space. Didn’t try the sauna but offering that is a very nice bonus.
Negative: My back could barely handle the two night stay, due to totally worned out beds (IKEAs old decomissioned model Sultan). Besides this the location of room 21 is probably not the best, being in the stairs and reached by others noise. Woke up several times during the night. Be aware of the culture in Norrland of weekend late night driving around in cars playing superloud music, the window did not block that out the night to Saturday. Thursday to Friday was quieter in the town.
Summary: Convenient location on roadtrip

Positive: Comfortable clean room, cosy atmosphere, free parking. Located in a quiet, lovely northern village, we really enjoyed walking around. Good breakfast with a variety of options.
Negative: We stayed in this hotel twice - one night on our way to Nordkapp and one night on the way back. On the way there, we stayed in the new building and were truly satisfied, everything was great (I even gave a score of 10). On the way back, we were placed in the old building, and the experience was different. The bathroom was tiny, and there was no light in the shower, so once you close the shower curtain, you’re basically showering in the dark. As a “compliment,” there was a lollipop left in the room that someone had clearly already sucked and wrapped back into the packaging. I understand the cleaning staff probably didn’t notice, but this is really not OK.

Positive: We were surprised by the location itself. Lapland in its true form. The hotel wing is new and has all amenities required. Even microwave which was a big plus. Free parking :) didn’t have time for breakfast but we saw it had plenty!!!! We were in a hurry to Rovaniemi. The room was incredibly warm!
Negative: Can’t say. It was fabulos.
Summary: Good value for money! Very good as base for exploring nature!
