Summary: maybe i was given the wrong room. i booked a room with a mountain view and kitchenette. we chose this hotel for the kitchenette- but there was none. and we had a kfc view, not a mountain view. i wish they'd ban smoking outside doors - cigarettes smoke prevented us from having the balcony door open.

Summary: Best hotel I stayed at in Iceland. I am not sure if they have laundry as an accommodation, like listed on hotels.com.

Summary: On check in I was told I had to pay a tourist tax, which I did assuming it was normal in the Reykjavik area. However afterwards I checked the booking receipt and it claimed that taxes were included in the price. Also some internet research suggests tourist tax applies throughout Iceland yet all the other hotels we stayed at included it in the price.
