Summary: We had a beautiful sea view room, very spacious and extremely clean. A large veranda with two comfortable lounge chairs. Very large bathroom and shower. There wasn’t a coffee machine but I believe we could have asked for one (I would suggest they ask this at check in). A beautiful pool area that we loved. They have all wonderful staff, they helped with early transport to the ferry and made it so easy for us. Our special thank you to Yapa, our pool side attendant, just amazing! He made our stay extra special! Last note is in Capri there are many places inaccessible to any transport and this hotel is a walk from the taxi or funicular area, about 10 minutes. It was no issue for us but keep this in mind.

Summary: We absolutely love Hotel Mamela. The building, the rooms, the pool— they are all wonderful. Throughout, there is exceptional attention to detail. The staff is very good, particularly the pool and dining staff. Prior to arriving to the hotel, I contracted food poisoning. The Mamela staff cooked me “bland” food— off the menu— for several days. The pool staff is attentive, fixing everything so it is just-right. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer— something we will remedy when we visit Capri again. In the meantime, we have wonderful memories to carry with us.

Summary: Very clean, newly renovated, amazing pool and sunbeds with pillows. The staff and the reception are so nice and helpful. The bedrooms are spacious with lovely beds and lovely bathroom. The staff comes to prepare your room for sleeping. I would recommend this hotel very much. It is also very close to everything, walkable, but in a quiet area. If you can, o would suggest a room with sea view because the view is just amazing on the sea

Summary: Don’t book this hotel if you want a good night sleep. The air conditioning was broken and blew only hot air, turning the room into what felt like a sauna. At a hotel in this price range, functioning air conditioning should be a basic standard, not a luxury. The staff explained that the AC system is centralized, but that does not justify it blowing hot air. The staff in the reception was neither particularly helpful nor friendly. We were forced to sleep with the balcony door open just to make the room bearable, but the noise outside combined with the paper-thin walls made it nearly impossible to sleep properly. I felt more exhausted after my vacation then before. It’s a real shame, because the location is fantastic and the hotel itself is beautiful.
