Positive: lovely hotel in a beautiful village. Anna and her family worked very hard to keep the hotel clean and comfortable. the pool was great as was the location, but you need a car if you stay in this village
Negative: breakfast was a little bit bland and the sun loungers and umbrellas could do with an upgrade but it did not detract from this fabulous hotel
Summary: fabulous hotel in a really lovely village

Positive: The hotel was beautiful and within easy walking distance of the beach and restaurants. The staff were wonderful. It is a family run hotel and even the children helped out! Our room was spacious and clean. It was cleaned every day, towels were changed every other. The beds were comfortable. We asked for extra pillows and were provided with them within half an hour. Breakfast was provided in a buffet style of which there was plenty. There is a good size pool with sun beds and seating areas and a small bar serving drinks. No music playing, just a lovely atmosphere!
Negative: The balcony needed a parasol or sun shade as it was in full sun for most of the day. A kettle and mugs in the room would have been nice. A few extra parasols around the pool would also have been a good idea as the sun beds are in full sun for most of the day and it was very hot when we were there!
Summary: We had a very relaxing holiday and would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone thinking of visiting Samos.

Positive: Dream little hotel in a dream little place. Hotel Matina in Ireion is exactly the place you’ve been dreaming of while working hard in the office in the middle of a chilly November. Pleasant rooms, pleasant swimming pool, pleasant breakfast (though maybe the coffee could be improved), children welcome. Located in a quiet area, orange and lemon trees blooming everywhere, plenty of room to park the car, no stress. The hotel is run by a sweet, friendly, smiling family. From the first minute, you feel you just belong here. Ireion too is a sort of secret dream place. Not too big, not too small. 6 or 7 restaurants, 3 or 4 bars. After just one day you’re part of the crowd. Only 10km from the popular Pythagorio, in case you want to have some more action and do some shopping. Let November arrive quickly so we can start dreaming about our next vacation in Ireion!
Negative: Coffee in the morning could be improved.
Summary: Dream little hotel in a dream little place.
