Summary: Hotel was okay, a little old but it was clean and safe; it needs some TLC. The gentlemen that greets you at the reception was very nice and professional. I read previous reveiws about this location and the reception gentleman must be the person the other reviewers wrote about stating how nice and professional he is. Worth the stay for a low cost.

Summary: Very old. It was clean, but a lot of bugs, and very dated. Breakfast was ok at least. Check in, check out was fast. Bratislava is small, so around $10 for Uber. Very limited English...Ok for overnight budget sleep, nothing more.

Summary: The staff are mostly lovely, although there is a very small minority who taint the overall ambiance. The accommodation is off a standard and clean. But in the height of summer be sure to get a room with AC as the accommodation is on the top floor and the roof acts as a heat sink. The surrounding area offers basic amenities and there is a convenient nearby bus station. What is lacking are local dining opportunities. This can be troublesome at the weekend when the hotel restaurant is closed for functions. A good breakfast however is included in the room rate and is available 7 days. If you need to be in this part of town then the Modena makes perfect sense, but if you want to more freely explore Bratislava city I would suggest moving closer to the centre. That said taxis are available via apps and are very reasonably priced. Bus services are efficient, regular and cheap but you need to understand the ticketing system which unusually is time based.
