Summary: Lovely check-in. Nice staff, you can have hot and cold drinks, fruit and cakes in reception. Helpful and friendly staff. Room big, just needs a thorough clean as dusty and shelves in bathroom dirty in places. Hotel a bit tired but overall good. Very good location straight opposite train station. Area around station not so good, red light district, lots of crime and drug taking. I don’t go out at night. Breakfast nice. WiFi good.

Summary: The hotel is located right across the street from the train station. The sheets and towels were clean, but everything else was super dusty. The hotel is old and has no AC.

Summary: Hotel Monopol is a beautiful hotel with lots of character. It's location is very convenient with how close it is to the main train station, but that also means there is train noise. The immediate area is a bit dingy as well. Our room was beautiful and spacious, with a nice bathroom and fans to keep it cool. It was generally clean, except for a few key spots that were missed. The breakfast was generous and tasty. Our only complaint is that the beds are not comfortable.
