Positive: Great location in easy walking distance to the beach (3 minutes), train station (5 minutes) and historic centre (10 minutes). Wonderful front desk manager Manuel made our stay truly special with great recommendations and help with booking restaurants and activities . He even managed to get us a table at a seafront restaurant for dinner on Ferragosto, the busiest holiday of the summer in Italy! In addition, Manuel provided us with breakfast to go on the days when we left for hiking before the normal breakfast service time.

Positive: Hotel Punta Mesco is in a great location. It's near the center of Monterosso al Mare, but still accessible by car (and with free parking!). Once you're here, it's easy to access the train station to explore the other cities in Cinque Terre. The staff are amazing, and go out of their way to make sure your stay is great. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful.
Negative: The only "negative" is that the rooms are a bit spartan (though still comfortable). But you're in Cinque Terre...you're not going to spend time sitting in your room anyway!
