Positive: Superb location and room, Excellent breakfast.

Negative: No dinner option - the fabulous restaurant was one of the features on the hotel website that led us to book. We were offered an upgrade to a bigger and more attractive room, which we accepted after negotiation of an additional charge of 200 Euros. At checkout the management sought to charge 300 Euros under threat of police involvement should we decline. After some heated discussion the owner raised his voice and showed us the door in no uncertain terms. 300 Euros has been charged to my credit card.

Summary: Unique and characterful hotel in an idyllic situation. Owner not "user friendly".

Positive: Paula and Davide are excellent hosts at one of the world's smallest hotel, which is furnished with great attention to detail. The rooms are beautifully decorated and clean, and the location is certainly unique. Breakfast was impressive, with a wide variety of fresh fruit, fresh croissants and baguettes, and many other delicacies. After breakfast, Paula took the time to suggest various excursions. The destinations she recommended, including restaurant suggestions, were excellent. All in all, it was a wonderful short vacation.

Positive: Jaw droppingly stunning location. Very clean. All mod cons. Lovely room. Comfortable bed. Great water pressure. Superb breakfast

Negative: The owners, Paula and Davide, are a nice couple but there is a strong sense that they are over running a hotel - they admitted as much - and so there permeates a strong feeling of sadness over the property. A joyful place with no longer a sense of joy. The bar, in its stunning location, and which should have been the beating heart of an “out of this world experience”, was left mostly abandoned and the attitude towards it unkempt and indifferent. I understand they want to move on and I wish them all the luck in the world and just hope that the next souls who take up the challenge can reignite the place with the sense of awe the location deserves and demands
