Summary: An interesting hotel with 70s-80s decore. A feeling of the past however with a view to the future with serious commitment to green credentials. A slow food restaurant extends the good feeling of solar power, and recycled papers in the bathrooms and dining rooms. The shower was a little small and flimsy but the water was good and hot and the heating was hydronic . Staff were excellent. Only a short walk from a beautiful town and the station. If you dont speak italian the majority of staff spoke some English but take your translator with you. A beautiful mountain atmosphere gives a good break from the bustling cit of florence.

Summary: I stayed at the Santoli during the Porretta Soul Festival, which was less than a ten minute walk from the hotel. The staff were friendly and the room was comfortable and spotless. The included continental breakfast had a huge range of options including several locally-made cakes. The only down side was the wi-fi, which was often very slow. Many of my friends stay at the Santoli each year and I can see why.
