Summary: Stay here if you want to experience staying in an old castle. The room is spacious, but the furnishings are outdated. Several essentials were missing — no mini fridge, no air conditioning, and only a shampoo/handwash combo provided. There was no conditioner or body lotion. The sauna area is also with limited services.

Summary: This is a hidden gem, where you can experience to stay in a genuine castle, often at rates that are lower than a hostel in more well-known destinations. In some rooms you really can feel the history in the walls and under the unbelievaby beautiful ceilings. We've been here several times, but the experience is fantastic every time, and the junior suite we got this time, was just absolutely fabulous. Neustadt Glewe is a very charming and quiet village, that also boasts a medieval castle, and loads of half-timbered houses. It's a perfect and relaxing getaway.

Summary: Castle was lovely <3 We (adult daughter and me) booked a superior double on the road around 22:45 about 30km away and therefore didn’t manage to get there before 23:00 (but 23:05) so reception was closed and no personel was there anymore; however everything worked smoothly by phone and we got the and quidance and as a suprise an upgrade to Junior suite, wich was the safest way to avoid my feather allergies :) Breakfast was good with tea station <3
