Positive: As we stayed at hotel Scilla for the third time, we got a free upgrade: a big room with terrace on the third floor. Free parking behind the hotel. Staff very friendly, good breakfast, nice room. We had an excellent dinner at Osteria del centro, which is managed by the hotel.

Negative: The beds are very hard.

Summary: Excellent place to stay when you plan to continue your trip to Sicily.

Positive: I loved the city:)

Negative: The rudeness from the old lady in the morning during breakfast. Extremely rude when asked for a coffee or anything from the breakfast menu and demanding. Really starts your day on a bad foot. We thought it was just with us but she was like that with everyone there.

Positive: Somebody came to collect us from the train station and explained the layout of Scilla on the way to the hotel which was helpful.

Negative: The breakfast was quite average. Also, not the hotels fault of course, but Scilla has A LOT of steps which I didn’t really appreciate when choosing a hotel by location. It appeared to be near the coast and it is but it’s a workout!

Summary: Great pit stop for one night. Lovely beach for the afternoon then dinner in the fishermen’s village area.

Positive: Our stay here was incredibly relaxing and the service at the property was outstanding. This is a family owned hotel with people that actually care about you enjoying your stay and making sure you are comfortable; this is how it always should be! The hotel is small and cozy, simple yet equipped rooms and a gorgeous terrace to enjoy breakfast in the morning, I really do recommend this place!
