Summary: Staff at desk were very helpful and polite. I was there three nights. If you are in your room at noon, forget about any maid returning to clean it.

Summary: If you didn’t leave the room by noon, there was no way housekeeping was going to service your room. We were there three nights and never got our room cleaned. Other than that, it was fine.

Summary: The staff was amazing! We loved all of the antiques throughout and the traditional decor. This would’ve been a 5 star stay for us but the windows are not sound proof. We were one of the top floors, and got woken up several times throughout the night due to loud trucks revving up outside. The sound bounced off all the buildings downtown and really amplified the sound all the way up to our room. I track my sleep, and that is the worst sleep I’ve had in months. If we come back, I’ll be sure to bring ear plugs.

Summary: Big Spring, Tx has become a destination for us because of this hotel--we'll find any excuse to go through Big Spring so we can stay at the Hotel Settles. First of all...it is beautiful--restored to her 1930's glory about 12 years ago. The lobby is adorned with beautiful art, an unbelievable staircase and period furniture--it is simply gorgeous. The staff are so friendly and my check-in and check-out experiences were awesome. The room was squeaky clean, the beds and bedding were top-notch and our room looked out over the Big Spring area. We never venture further than the hotel restaurant for meals because it is so dang good. For supper, we had the salmon and the chicken fried steak--both delicious. I have to shout out the chef for my collard greens--lordy they were good. The pool and hot tub area are beautiful and very relaxing. If you are in the Big Spring area--make an excuse to go there and treat youself to an overnight stay at Hotel Settles.

Summary: This is my 5th or 6th time to stay at Hotel Settles. It's a perfect half way point between Dallas and Big Bend. The staff has always been friendly. The restaurant has good food. And the rooms feel luxurious despite not being luxury prices. I've already got plans to be back in May.
