Summary: The receptionist speak in English. They didn't have a room which we chose, so they gave us room in better standard. Apartment was big, really clean and has a cosy furnitures. Only weak thing was the view from window.

Summary: My wife and I stayed at this hotel while on a business at the local university. The hotel is conveniently located in the city center, which is just a 5-minute taxi trip from the train station. Many shops, cafes, and restaurants are located within sight of the main entrance. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was a bit hard, but tolerable. The bathroom was clean and had all modern amenities, including a hair dryer. Our room was just off the corner facing a small street and within view of the city center roundabout. When closed, the double-paned windows did a great job blocking the street noise. The hotel restaurant was also nice and reasonably priced. And though we do not speak Portuguese, we did not have too many difficulties communicating with any of the hotel staff. Indeed, the service was very good: Because our train did not leave until mid-afternoon, we were allowed to stay in the room past normal check-out time. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Solneve, and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Covilhã.

Summary: Lovely room, Jacuzzi bath not functioning properly. Indoor pool lovely (very cold though!) Breakfast very good. We ate in the Restaurant & had a lovely meal. Parking opposite, no charge. Staff very welcoming & helpful.
