Summary: Hotel Sonne is a comfortable hotel right in the center of Lienz, a quick walk from the train and bus stations. The interior of the building itself is definitely dated and a bit austere, but that really didn’t impact my stay. My room was comfortable and had a fantastic view of the mountains. The breakfast options were great, and I appreciated that breakfast itself started at 6:00 (I’m an early riser). The staff were friendly and accommodating. I didn’t have time to try the sauna or the gym, but I’m glad they were included. The price was fair and good value.

Summary: Beautiful property within the shadow of the Dolomites. Staff were absolutely delightful and friendly. Very nice breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice and amber sugar crystals for my tea!! Shopping very close and all amenities covered. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Summary: What a disappointment. The hotel is undergoing renovations. They did not mention this on the booking site. Roof top bar not available. Outside seating in the middle of construction. Condition of hotel appalling. The staff were lovely and room was clean but very tired dated with no appeal.

Summary: Very well received by front desk lady. She was gracious and extremely helpful. Renovation taking place but it did not impede the stay one bit. Central to everything, highly recommend the hotel.

Summary: Property is well located. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good - fresh squeezed OJ. Hotel itself is a bit tired and would benefit greatly from new carpeting and paint in rooms and halls.

Summary: Great family owned property. We’re just going to stay for one day and stayed for four days. Nice clean rooms, large, great breakfast, great price, clean and safe the staff was amazing.
