Positive: The hotel was fine. It is in an excellent location with views that are breathtaking. The room was very quiet and comfortable with enough room to spread out.

Negative: I was very disappointed, for being advertised as a luxury resort, for it just being pretty much par for the course. The room was good, but common. Upon entering the hotel the smell of food assaulted you, I would much rather have had a signature scent that gave you a feeling of luxury. The staff was fine, except being seating in the morning for breakfast by a very unpleasant woman. And I didn't like that both dining rooms were joined. While seating in the restaurant Julia we had to deal with buffet individuals getting up and down around us, why aren't those two restaurants separated? For the price, I would stay somewhere else.

Positive: We had a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Union Geiranger Bad & Spa. The hotel offers spectacular views and excellent spa facilities, with the outdoor heated pool being a real highlight, especially in the evening with the mountain scenery around it. The pool opening until 10:30pm was also appreciated. The hotel was very clean throughout, and the staff were hospitable, professional, and spoke excellent English. The beds were comfortable, and the breakfast selection was very good. We also appreciated being able to charge our electric car at the hotel for an additional fee.

Negative: The only area that could perhaps be improved is the dinner offering (non-buffet), as we felt the food options could have been a bit more varied. Having said that, the takeaway pizza available at the hotel was surprisingly very good. Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable stay in a stunning location.

Positive: Location is everything when visiting Geiranger. This hotel with 100% Fjord view was perfect. Breakfast and the dinner were both Devine.

Summary: This is the one, book the Fjord view room and have no regrets in this once in a lifetime location.
