Negative: Very noisy. At 1.30 am there was still walking on the corridor. Our room was next to some sort of storage and people were going in and out loudly slamming the door.

Positive: Oh my goodness. Where to start? The setting is sublime. Nestling in the village beneath the Chateau Haut Koenigsbourg (a must visit!) with the slopes of the vineyards separating you from it - and this was our view from our room on opening the curtains! The room was large with easy chairs and a tea station with kettle. The bathroom was large with a walk in shower and good toiletries. All very well appointed. The restaurant is a beautiful room with very good food and the most professional, welcoming, helpful team. Highly recommend.
Negative: Finding the car park was not easy! Eventually we parked in the lower car park for those attending seminars but that meant quite a distance and lots of steps to carry several bags. The actual car park is behind the hotel we discovered. FYI: There is no fridge in the room. One English breakfast teabag - I’m sure you could ask for more though, the team are all very helpful. It would be great to have a ‘formule’ menu (e.g. 3 courses for 44€?) to help budgets.

Positive: Spacious room, relaxed friendly atmosphere throughout the hotel. Nice public spaces for relaxation. Friendly and helpful staff. Plentiful parking. Superb buffet breakfast, although pricey if you only want a light meal. Spa area with sauna and steam room was good for private session - we didn't have any problem reserving the slots we wanted, but that could be an issue if there was more demand. Plentiful parking.
Negative: Nothing much. Tea and coffee provision in room could be a bit more generous - e.g. there wasn't enough provided for both guests to enjoy the same tea choice.
Summary: Great place for a relaxing few days.

Negative: Lack of commercial savyness of the staff. I had booked 6 rooms months in advance and one week before I informed the hotel that 1 couple would not be coming and therefore that we would be using only 5 rooms. I knew the rate I booked on Booking was not refundable, yet I expected (and asked) for a commercial gesture from the hotel. For example offering us the breakfast - after all we paid for 5 rooms and also had the dinner in their restaurant with 9 people... for sure they sold the room we had relinquished with advanced notice. We also wanted to use the room to play pool, but it closed at 11PM when we finished dinner at 10.45; they would not allow us to use it (it's located in the basement, so unlikely noise to bother the guests in the upstair bedrooms)

Positive: The location was exactly what we were looking for rural,quiet but with many excellent restaurants in the village which was surrounded by vines! The breakfast was self serve with plenty of choice to choose from albeit pricey at €18 each!
