Negative: No extra key for the fridge for medication. The boss- father was very rude and told us we would loose it on the beach. It was nighttime and we were leaving the next morning. Pool only had one umbrella that was occupied by a large family and it was way too hot to sit in the sun. Was told there was parking and had to park motorcycle unsecured in the driveway while a space was spare inside

Positive: Wonderful hotel – everything feels very homely and of a high standard! This is the kind of place where the owner personally welcomes guests, serves breakfast dishes, and treats you to a bottle of wine with a thoughtfully prepared ice bucket – a level of service that’s rare these days. The owners don’t just run a business – they truly put their heart and soul into what they do, and it shows in every detail. The location is excellent – just a 5-minute walk to the picturesque Zlata Obala beach. The terrace offers a beautiful sea view, and the room is cozy, quiet, and you can hear the soothing sound of the waves at night. There’s a convenient and spacious garage (parking) on the ground floor with direct elevator access to the rooms – your car is always safe and not under the sun, which is very important in Montenegro. Daily cleaning, fresh towels – everything is spotless and sparkling white! The breakfasts are wonderful – tasty and with a homemade touch. The hotel even has a pool with clean, refreshing water. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming – we’re very grateful to the amazing owners of this lovely hotel! Highly recommended!

Positive: We spent wonderful two weeks in Montenegro, staying the entire time at Hotel Velkom. It is run by exceptionally warm and kind hosts who treat their guests with genuine care. We felt truly special throughout our stay. We had everything we needed here for a pleasant and relaxing holiday. It’s not often that we build such a lovely relationship with our hosts as we did here, which only confirms that this place is truly unique. The language barrier was never an issue - we enjoyed chatting with the hosts every day and learning many words in Montenegrin, and whenever needed, their son communicated perfectly in English. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Sutomore, in a quiet area just a few hundred meters from the lively tourist center of town (which was a deliberate choice on our part - it only took 10 minutes to get there and grab something to eat). In the evenings, we enjoyed relaxing on the spacious balcony with a breathtaking view of the entire bay, the town, the mountains, and the sunsets. We truly felt like we were living in luxury. On rest days, we made use of the hotel pool and the area around it, where we spent time comfortably. Just a 2-minute walk away, there were also several small public beaches, peaceful and perfect for relaxing in silence. For breakfast, we especially loved the delicious Montenegrin priganice, freshly made by the host himself. We could eat them endlessly… The hotel also offers an underground garage (at street level), with an elevator that takes you directly from there. It’s also worth mentioning that the rooms and the shared spaces are clean, and the Wi-Fi works very well. Excellent value for money. The location of the hotel is perfect as a base for exploring all of Montenegro. A big advantage is the convenient and affordable train and bus connections to many towns. We recommend visiting Stari Bar, Petrovac na Moru, Sveti Stefan, Budva, Kotor, and Ulcinj. Thank you for a wonderful time and a fantastic holiday. You are truly special!

Positive: Parking in the garage, close to the beach - smaller and less overcrowded beach going to the left from hotel building, room view, breakfast was fair and fine

Negative: Traffic jams to the city ( but its is common in Montenegro - very overcrowded ), lots of rubbish in the local area ( not in the hotel but next to restaurants etc ) Room cleaning wasn't every day, but we didnt complain about it Some minor defects in the room like broken paper holder, missing door electric roller blind
