Summary: Disappointed. The hotel is getting tired and needs a little uplift. I.e. worn carpets in elevators. The refreshment bar on our floor needed attention—espresso/coffee machine need not work properly; carbonated water did not work. We have stayed previously and enjoyed the hotel. It just seems like it is in need of some attention that it is not getting. The staff was as usual, very attentive and polite.

Summary: Hotel Vermont is a local icon, and the whole place is beautifully and sustainably designed. We had a great stay, dinner at Juniper was excellent, staff incredibly helpful and kind (we were travelling with an infant). The location is great for strolling along the lake, downtown, and so on.
