Positive: The hotel is in a very convenient situation at the top of the town and very close to the car park. This really is a big plus as it is very hilly to go anywhere. We had a lovely big terrace off our ground floor room which was shared with other rooms but you can pull roller barriers across to section off the part outside your room.

Negative: Just the fact that the restaurant wasn´t open which was quite a big factor as there were not many places available to eat in the town at night time. All the restaurants in the main square just catered for lunchtime trade. It would be nice to have a fridge in the room so that you could enjoy a cold drink on the terrace.

Summary: Comfortable stay in a quirky village (but you only need one night!).

Positive: The room had a nice balcony. It's a modern style interior that is a little dated, but we were aware of this from photos. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, with a great location and excellent customer service from the manager Alejandro! 👏

Negative: Restaurant and bar were closed Sunday and Monday - the two days of our trip. That was not mentioned when we booked. Facilities were said to include restaurant and bar but did not for us.

Positive: The rooms were spaceous, very clean, with excellent views, and with good quality soft furnishings. The breakfast at the little corner shop immediately on the right under the tunnel only 50 meters away from the hotel was great and only 4eu each for an excelent coffee and very fresh bread from the small bakery oposite and jams - ( 6eu less than it would have been in the hotel.)

Negative: Upon arrival at the turn-off to the car park nearby the hotel, we stopped to unload the luggage, as the road ahead allows entry only to authorused cars. We struggled up the cobbled road dragging our baggage whilst one of our number parked the car. Evidently, we later found out that visitors to the hotel are permitted to drive up to the hotel entrance and unload for a few minutes prior to parking. Future visitors please take note. We were greeted at reception by the cleaner, who telephoned the manager who arrived by motorbike about 15 mins later. Having checked us all in, he announced that the staff were all off and the normal hotel facilities would not available to us, but our rooms were ready and we could let ourselves into the side door of the hotel with the room keys. The rooms looked great and were well located but lacked comfortable seating and any mirrors over the dressing table area or full length ones, so necessary for the ladies. For the gents, there was a small TV but without any chanel information or any English channels. In the bathroom there was a good sized mirror over an oversized hand basin without a plug. There was a smallish toilet squeezed into a narrow space between the shower screen and the oversized vanitory unit, with an unsurprising broken hinge to the toilet seat. We were all in our 80's and not as agile as normal so seeking comfort on the porcelain throne was out of the question. Since the advertised hotel facilities, bar, restaurant and staffed reception were closed and not available to us for the duration of our stay, our pleasant host gave us "useful" information regarding eating out which we found in practise to be totally inaccurate.
