Summary: Our stay was rerouted to Hotel Solar De Las Animas. I gave a low rating in staff but let me explain. Solar De La Animas is a 5 star plus resort including all the staff. My issue is, we arrived early and asked if we could check in early. All the staff we met in person from the young man who parked our car Michael Flores to the young lady at the check in counter Laura Esporza were amazingly professional and courteous and made us feel very special and appreciated. This is the type of service you only dream about and appreciate the effort and care the management that has trained and provided the environment needed to provide this level of service We were early and they invited us to use the pool and the restaurant as well as the bar at our convivence. They were awesome and the Bartender was great He made awesome Margaritas. My only compliant is, and unfortunately it was a decision made by supervisor. All the while having superior employees working under them. After we had a few margaritas and were getting tired. I asked the young lady at the check in counter Laura if it was possible to check in early, at that point we would have checked in 1 1/2 hours early. Laura called a Supervisor named Anita and asked if we could check in early. The Supervisor asked how we made the reservation. Anita found out we used Expedia she said we would have to pay $100. for the 1 1/2 hour early check in. NOT GOOD MAJOR FAIL. I hope Expedia Management will do something to fix this decision.

Summary: First off the hotel we booked is being remodeled so they moved us to their bigger nicer hotel. Great customer service. Right next to the main plaza, church and Jose Cuervo tequileria. Nice, small roof top pool but with a nice view. Would definitely stay again

Summary: It's a lovely property a real oasis, the buildings and grounds are beautiful. The restaurant had a nice Sunday Buffet. The staff is abundant but not very attentive to the needs of the guests.

Summary: Unique boutique hotel on beautifully maintained grounds. Excellent restaurant. Great area to relax by the pool. Friendly and helpful staff. We would especially like to thank Elda Orihuela for her insight and overall helpfulness. Easy walking distance to town centre (square) and very safe. We booked the Aguamiel room not realizing just how small it is (no closet). I would not recommend this category unless you are only doing an overnight stay. We would go for one of the larger (more expensive) categories. That was our only negative.

Summary: This hotel is a stunning experience. The restaurant food is excellent. Rooms are a little cramped if you have any kind of disability. I do. Would recommend this hotel just for the experience alone!
