Positive: Everything was perfect, the only slight issue was the lack of staff at breakfast. We had to find someone to ask for hot water and again when we wanted a second cup of tea as the pot was still empty. We didn’t know fresh fruit was available until another table received it, but only a minor point.
Negative: The hotel was very nice.
Summary: Perfect hotel on our journey.

Positive: The evening meals were good and there was a lot of variety to choose from.
Negative: In the UK we are not used to meals being served on cold plates and the delicious food was let down because the food cooled down quickly while eating. Not a pleasant experience.
Summary: We all enjoyed our stay at Hotel. It is a comfortable place to stay and the staff are welcoming.

Positive: We chose this hotel as a base for 3 days of driving around this part of the Pyrenees with friends. We weren't disappointed. The local roads and scenery are fantastic. This is a lovely family-owned hotel. Really friendly and helpful staff, especially at reception. Super to meet Virginia the owner and discuss the history of the hotel with her. Everything is crisp and spotlessly clean. Everything works, nothing needed maintenance. We didn't use the spa but it looked good too. Easy to find and good, spacious car parking which was important to us. Breakfast was good, the beautifully-presented fresh fruit plate was really refreshing and delicious. There didn't look to be many alternative restaurants in walking distance so the ambience of the hotel bar and quality of the spacious restaurant for the evening were also important. Overall we had a great time.
Negative: If it all sounds so great, why didn't I rate it as excellent? A few small touches and resolving some inconsistencies would just make the difference. Some examples - a couple of comfortable chairs (like from the bar) in the room, rather than one desk chair (although another was provided by Virginia on request). Hot food served on cold plates doesn't stay hot for long which is a common issue in many European hotels. Sometimes the fruit plate at breakfast appeared automatically, sometimes it had to be requested, depending on the waiter. For our first evening dinner, some of us wanted a starter + main + dessert, some a starter + main, some a main + dessert. It was a bit unusual and confusing for the starters (for those that ordered them) to be served at the same as the mains for those that hadn't ordered starters. Generally restaurants serve starters to those that ordered them and then all the mains together. We requested this on the second night and it was fine and happened without asking on the third night. Although the hotel wasn't busy, on the first morning breakfast they ran out of croissants and we were told that there weren't any more - there were plenty of other choices but a shortage of croissants was a bit unexpected! But I must stress that these are all pretty minor points during what was a very enjoyable stay.
Summary: A really friendly and enjoyable hotel run by a family that cares.
