Summary: Great Alpine hotel with nice, clean with semi-firm memory mattress in the rooms. Good service by the staff

Summary: Our stay here was only for one night, but it was very enjoyable! We would have stayed longer if we could've. Great service! We checked in at about 7:45 pm after a long day of driving and hiking, the front desk ensured we had a table prepared for dinner (which was supposed to end at 8 pm). The waiter was incredibly pleasant, despite us showing up late, and when he found out I was vegan he accommodated a whole 5 course meal for me! The food was amazing! The wine was excellent - we had a bottle recommended by the waiter, I can't remember the name of it. The friendly service topped off the whole experience. We also received some assistance in picking our hike for the next day from the lady at the front desk. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. I would love to return here some day!

Summary: We booked an apartment with two bedrooms in the old part of the hotel and were very disappointed in the condition and atmosphere. So, we upgraded to two suites which were both delightful, spacious, airy with mountain views. We had half board, delicious dinners and excellent buffet breakfast, great to start the day with all the adventures in the area - hiking, rafting etc and the sauna, steam room and pool in the hotel. We rented the Hotel's electric mountain bikes which were fantastic. Staff really friendly and very helpful. Loved our 3 days at the Waldhof.
