Positive: We loved staying here! Guests will get a real authentic family experience! We felt so looked after by the family who run the Castle Hotel! Parking was provided slightly further down the road, and sits just on the edge of the Gjirokaster old town which is ideal! The room was a great size, and spotlessly clean. The shower was top notch and the bed was nice and cosy. We had the pleasure of having dinner at the hotel, and I must say, it was magical! The sunset from the restaurant terrace is hard to describe, you really have to see to see it for yourself! As for the food, well, it was magnificent! We had a selection from the menu, and it all came out on a platter board. Everything was amazing! Breakfast was much the same! If we ever return to Gjirokaster, we would love to stay again :)

Positive: The hotel was on the top of castle. Run by family. Free breakfast and parking which is quite difficult to find in old town. Even after our stay we got to keep the car at hotel. Host was supportive and suggesting places.

Positive: This is one of those places that deserves an 11, not a 10. We booked one night and stayed another and wished we had more days. The location is perfect, right near the castle and high up the hill. There are several restaurants in the old town down the hill but also several good places closer just around the property and up. Breakfast on the terrace with that awesome view, what a wonderful start to the day. We had a triple room and it was very spacious with great beds. It's a family hotel and everyone we interacted with was so very friendly. It was a nice bonus to have a place to park the car. So many nice things about this place, it was a perfect choice.

Positive: Great place with a beautiful view of the castle. Easily accessible through the newly build road that enables you to reach the property without having to go through the narrow city streets. Once you park the car, the castle and the main city attractions are within a 5 minute walk. The owner was most helpful and accommodating.
