Positive: We felt very privileged to stay in the Hotel Stekl, which is virtually an Annex to the adjacent landmark castle, which is visited by thousands every day. Therefore, the hotel is at the top of a quite steep hill, so there are beautiful views. The staff were extremely helpful ,and as we stayed for 11 days , we made friends with many. The restaurant food was outstanding.
Negative: One must accept that this is a historic building, so there are not lifts to every room, and there is no aircon , but we felt these were minnor inconveniences .
Summary: You will feel on top of the world at Hotel Stekl!

Negative: Breakfasts were disappointing. Think it would not take much more effort to provide a better quality, even if a small increase on the cost of stay was levied. Just as an instance, the cereals; may have been alright for children, but not adults. Muesli; they were not! Fresh fruit juices would have been good and better offer of cooked breakfasts. The fresh fruit was good. Cold meats and cheeses okay. As no tea/coffee facilities were available in the room it could have been provided in the reception area which was spacious and had lounge seating and or in the lounge area, another unused wasted area. The facilities could easily be monitored by the reception staff. Finally new washers on the aging shower pipework to stop dripping and wasting water. Shower taps have been overtightened over the years and as a result now clearly need new washers on the brass fittings!!
Summary: We would choose to stay again but will hope that our suggestions might be taken up.

Positive: Authentic castle hotel next to Hluboka castle. It has big rooms, kitchen is good, not expensive. Pet friendly. Exhibited Excalibur car is amazing. We loved it, the style.
Negative: Wellness area is small. Finish sauna is for extra charge. Staff is unprofessional, tasks are under organised. They wanted to charge extra items on the bill, we did not have. Common areas badly needs renovation.
Summary: Stylish castle hotel, which badly needs renovation.

Positive: Hotel Stekl gives great impression from moment you see it in person, atmosphere is both luxury and relaxing. The staff were all super sympa and helpful. We had a problem with the rooms when we arrived, and the manager Jana helped us to switch rooms efficiently and smiling, Food was very good - rich offer in the buffet for half-board. The location is perfect just at the entrance to Hluboka chateau and rooms with a view are worth it. Rooms are large, elegant and very comfortable.
Negative: The mattresses were too soft, but we were told they will be replaced very soon for new ones. Would be nice to have a water boiler + tea and coffee in the rooms.
Summary: Exceptional hotel - elegant and relaxing atmosphere, very friendly staff, good food.

Positive: location was very good just out side the castle. all the staff where very friendly we had room 104 which was very nice and a very large room, the spar was nice and the staff again very friendly and helpful. good parking garage. and great views for the windows al in all very nice stay
Negative: the dinner menu had 2 dished both very nice but he menu never change . one could order from the normal menu. and use credit. and the billing then become very complicated, any way the bill was correct and the food great
