Welcome to Terlingua's newest and most luxurious property. The cottage accommodates 7 people. The location is central, 5 minutes from the national park and Ghosttown, on the main highway. You will have access to a full kitchen with all cooking essentials. A wrap-around deck on three sides with patio furniture, a covered pergola, and a firepit. Everything is carefully selected for your comfort and pleasure. We have 11 rentals in total for large groups to stay together.SPACEThe Cottage has a bedroom, living room, loft, a full kitchen, and a full bathroom. It comfortably accommodates 7 people but we can provide a floor mattress for the 8th person for an extra charge if needed. Please message us after booking if you are bringing the 8th person. On the outside, we have a wrap-around deck on two sides and a firepit where you can sit and have one of the best stargazing experiences in the world.We are located on the main road through the town (Hwy 170). We are 5 minutes from the entrance of the national park and 5 minutes from the ghost town. The gas station, grocery store, tour companies, and restaurants are all within 5 minutes. The bedroom has a queen bed with a very comfortable mattress. We provide both soft and firm pillows. There is a reading light on top of the bed. A small closet has cloth hangers, a luggage rack, an iron, an ironing board. The living room has a very comfortable sleeper sofa from West Elm that converts into a queen bed. There is a coffee table with some books, trail maps, etc. Opposite to that, we have two armchairs. There is a smart TV mounted on the wall, with all your favorite apps like Netflix, Hulu, Disney, ESPN, etc. There is a small dining table with four chairs around it. The same table can be used as a workspace for remote work. The living room has a large sliding patio door from which you get an unparalleled view of the majestic Chisos mountains in the National Park.The loft is accessed by a ladder. It has three twin beds. A small window gives the view of the Chisos mountains from the topThere is a full kitchen with an electric range, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, sink, slice toaster, electric kettle, and pour-over coffee maker. We provide pots, pans, utensils, and cutlery. The washroom has a shower, marble vanity, and a wall-mounted toilet. We provide a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion. On the outside, we have a hammock and a sofa dining set. There is also a firepit with four benches around it.ACCESS You will be given the door code to enter your unit. You have access to the entire A-Frame, the outside patio, the firepit, and the clubhouse (not ready yet but will be soon). Please stay on the walkways and don't wander off the walkways or near other cabins to give everyone their privacy.NEIGHBORHOODWell, we are in the desert. There is not much of a neighborhood as we have vast empty spaces around us, yet close to the park and restaurants. The Ghost Town is 3 mins away, Big Bend National Park is 5 mins, Lajitas is 15 mins. There are very few properties nearby. The back side of our property has Cigar Mountain, there is only one vacation rental on it that is visible from the property. Other than that you have unrestricted views of Big Bend National Park, Chisos Mountains, Santa Elena Canyon and other nearby mountains.TRANSIT A car is essential to get around. Some businesses in town offer jeep rentals for your off-roading adventuresNOTESPlease specify the correct number of people when booking. Up to 7 people are included in the listing cost and will be comfortable in the space. If you want to bring an 8th person, please be aware that you will be very tight. There is a $35 charge for the 8th person per night. We will provide a floor mattress. If we discover you brought extra people (through staff reports or cameras), we will charge $70 per person per night.Pets are not allowed. If we do find out you brought a pet (which we almost always do when guests try to break the rules), there will be $199 extra cleaning fee and any damage by the pet will also be charged to your card. Also, please review the pictures carefully. Please use the loft ladder with caution. Never let children climb the ladder or go to the loft without adult supervision. Always use the handrails when climbing or descending the ladder. By renting this cabin you agree to release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Mirza Investments LLC, its officers, servants, agents, or employees (hereinafter "Releasees") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by you, or to any guests accompanying you while using the ladder, or while in, or upon the premises where the use of the ladder is being conducted, regardless whether such loss is caused by the negligence of the releasees or otherwise and regardless whether such liability arises in tort, contract, strict liability, or otherwise.ADDITIONAL RULESCheck-in is at 4 PM and checkout is at 10 AM but we are often able to accommodate early check-in/late checkout requests. Please keep the brightness of the lights to a minimum so you and other guests can enjoy the night sky. If the lights are on inside then the curtain must be drawn (on the sliding patio door and bedroom window) and the blind pulled down on the kitchen door.Please stay on the walkways and don't trespass on neighboring properties. You cannot drive your car up to your cabin, you must park in the designated parking areas. Taking the car to your cabin will damage the sensitive desert landscape. A $500 fine will be assessed if we see your car parked next to your cabin. The designated parking areas are a short walk away from all cabins. Luggage carts are provided in the parking areas. Please return the carts to the parking area after offloading your luggage. Don't leave the fire unattended in the firepit. Put the last log one hour before you want to go inside. After 20 mins you can put the mesh lid to quickly fetch something. After about one hour you can put the steel lid on the pit and the fire will die by itself. DO NOT USE WATER to put out the fire. It will damage and warp the metal.No, smoking or vaping is allowed in the cabin. If we detect the smell of smoke or other evidence of smoking in the cabin, a $500 cleaning fee will be charged. Please specify the correct number of people when booking. Up to 7 people are included in the listing cost and will be comfortable in the space. If you want to bring an 8th person, please be aware that you will be very tight. There is a $35 charge for the 5th person per night. We will provide a floor mattress.
