Summary: We were a family of 5 people, from 11 to 72 years old. We had a lovely time in this property at Aigne. Everything was as described in the advert. Great location to explore the area. Kitchen fully equipped, but there is a good restaurant at a 10 minute walk if you don't feel like cooking, just at the center of Aigne. Great pool and area around the house. I am truly pleased with the property and the reception and attention of owners. I would come back and definitely recommend!

Summary: A fabulous base and would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone planning to holiday and explore this area of France. We were warmly greeted upon arrival by Monsieur and Madam Siguier and their son Stephane. What a lovely family! They couldn't do enough to ensure that we had everything required to enjoy our stay at their fabulous home. They kindly provided us with some essentials upon arrival including wine and some of their home made apple juice and their own produced Olive oil. The home is well equipped and lacks for nothing, having all that one has in their own home. All the equipment is to an excellent standard and It is beautifully clean. The beds are extremely comfortable and every window is protected with built in mosquito nets, so windows can be opened and fresh air enjoyed without the fear of being bitten by those pesky creatures. The house has extensive grounds and is set up on a hill and there are two wonderful outside seating areas. One to the back of the property at the bottom of the olive groves and one at the front overlooking the surrounding hills, both are surrounded by a beautiful brick wall with raised planting areas. Peaceful, picturesque and very relaxing. Their is a local restaurant within walking distance and others just a short drive away in neighbouring villages. The pool was very welcome after a day's exploration of the nearby medieval Carcassonne and more surrounding towns and villages along the coast, all within an hours drive time. We were made to feel very welcome and knew the family was on hand should they be needed, but were also left to enjoy our stay in privacy. A little piece of heaven! Sent from my iPad
