Summary: We spent a nice week at Kaj's place and enjoyed the stay very much. The house is very well equipped, especially the kitchen had everything we needed and even more than his. You can walk to the beach and to the supermarket. The host is very nice! We can really recommend the place.

Summary: This house is really great! We stayed one week and missed nothing. The house is located in a wonderful garden and inside everything is very nice, comfortable and clean. Kaj, our host, helped with every question in advance and during our week. He is a great host! Thanks for everything, we hopefully come back next year!

Summary: A lovely house with a lovely garden! We enjoyed our stay both in the house and in köpingsvik. The house is near the bakery and the local grocery store that is really well equipped as well as close to the beach! The landlord is really helpful.

Summary: We came out to Kalmar for Ironman Sweden in 2014. 6 of us came to Kalmar as 3 couples with 3 of us participating in the Ironman in August. The property is a nice house situated just outside of a small town called Borgholm on the island of Oland. Everything was clean and easy to use with all the kitchenware needed on hand able to help make large meals for the 6 of us. There was enough indoor and outdoor seating for the 6 of us as well and the bedrooms all varying in sizes but all with enough space to take all of our bags and throw our clothes around the place. The lounge was great and we were able to use the TV easily. The property was as shown on the ad and had a really nice feel. The local area is really nice with a great bakery and access to a supermarket only a 2 minute walk away that seemed to stock almost all the food that we needed (no wine though). A couple of restaurants locally but Borgholm is around a 5min drive south and is a little bigger with a larger range of restaurants and cafeterias to choose from. There is a white sand beach about a 5min walk away from the property as well which was great to relax on and go for a swim. The beach did have some jellyfish but they were harmless and did not sting, so we could easily go for a swim if we wanted to. When booking, Kaj was really nice to deal with in that he was flexible, sent through any pictures of the property that we requested and supplied all information required. We paid a deposit via paypal and Kaj also drafted up and we signed a rental contract for the property. We paid cash on arrival and Kaj took us on a tour of the property and also gave us advice on where to visit, where to go for food and he was a phone call away if we needed anything else. We all agreed that if we were going back to this area we would definitely come back to this property. It was comfortable and Kaj was really nice to deal with. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area for a nice summer holiday. A blog that I wrote about the trip is below if you would like to read into a bit more.
