Summary: Lovely property which was well equipped. Pool was fabulous and meticulously maintained by Hamid who was charming. Pascale the owner was also very helpful. Wifi was patchy. The house is a reasonable drive from Montignac and beautiful Sarlat. The house is very private and the patio and eating area were fantastic.

Summary: The house is huge and nicely done up- the photos on VErbo don’t do the interior justice. There are 5 pretty-much new bathrooms and nice big beds. The outdoor space is beautiful- we played rounders in the field and the kids were in the pool all week. The water was a bit chilly for some of the grownups. The area is really peaceful and there is a nice view from the house. The local shop is more than a walk away- more a 10 minute cycle and a bit pricey. The nearest supermarket is 40 min round trip.

Summary: The property is not within walking distance of any town, but this was the charm for us. Our extended family loved the pool and the beautiful countryside. Having a vehicle is essential, and fortunately we had three for the 12 of us. Shopping in nearby St Genies, Montignac, Salignac and Sarlat was convenient and a large variety of fresh farm products at half the prices we pay in the US. Famous Lascaux caves are 7 miles away, and we had a great time visiting some of the many castles and gardens nearby. If you like induction cooktops you will love this kitchen; but for those of us accustomed to cooking with gas, it was a challenge. Large indoor and outdoor dining tables were perfect for our whole group. Would love to do it again.
