Located in the heart of the Burgundy vineyards south of Beaune, you will be seduced by this winemaker's house which has retained its cachet of yesteryear. Your stay will be an opportunity to discover the greatest wines of Burgundy without forgetting the many hikes and visits to be made.
Covering an area of 60 m2, the accommodation is on two levels with the kitchen and the living room on the 1st floor while the bedrooms are on the 2nd with the bathroom. The first bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has two single beds. A travel cot is available as well as a sofa bed in the living room.
During your stay, you can visit the many cellars of the Grand Cru route and taste a multitude of flavors.
Most of the time, I will not be there to welcome you, but someone you trust will welcome you and indicate the places or cellars to visit.

Summary: This was our second stay in this house and we had a great stay here. Monthelie is a fascinating village, full of small vineyards and surrounded by fields producing excellent and varied red wines. The entire region is a paradise for wine lovers, with a seemingly limitless array of wines to try within tow or three miles. Most local villages also have superb markets, for other produce. There is plenty of good hiking in the nearby hills, and wonderful historic towns are easily accessible by car.

Summary: This house has many advantages. It is a lovely old building, and it is situated in Monthelie, a beautiful, rather overlooked centre of wine production. We bought fantastic wines in Monthelie and near-by villages. Hiking through the vineyards and local woods was also a great pleasure. Visitors should know that some things are not provided in the house. For example - you need to bring your own sheets, towels and tea towels. However, our overall experience was excellent and very good value.

Summary: This is a lovely little house located in a little village in the middle of wine country: The owners ensure that everything is in place and in order and allow for a very smooth stay. We have been before and returned again as we enjoyed it a lot. The bakery on walking distance is open 7/7 and has lovely pastries and alle the villages you want to go are within close driving or biking distance.
