Summary: What a great location, a great place, and superior hosts for the Tunnel Hill 100 Race. We had a crew of 7 running in the 2023 Tunnel Hill 50/100 Mile race in Vienna, IL and this was a great option for us as we prepped for the race and had a place to come back to and refresh the day after the race before the drive back home for our crew. The hosts for the property are super kind and so great to work with. You will not come across kinder folk. I hope to be back next year to both the race and to stay here again.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay with Kris and Rocky. They are the kind of hosts that we really wish we could have hung out with more on our trip. It was a great time. The air went out and it was a hot day and they did everything they could to accommodate. It got repaired immediately in the am. We will rent again if we head down to Metropolis. A very large home to enjoy with family and friends. The country atmosphere for young families is a must.

Summary: It was a nice quiet place to stay, especially after a long day at the quilt show. Grocery store had tremendous meats but they closed at 6:00 so we only made it there 2 times. LOVED the porch especially when eating breakfast in the morning. Watching the wildlife wake up and get moving was a great way to start the day.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay very much. The home is exactly as described. Nothing fancy but everything worked, and was spacious. We had beautiful views of the lake from the back porch. The host were a phone call away and very friendly. We highly recommend and hope to return in the future!

Summary: Surface cleaning done only. Dirty handprints and marks all on walls, lights, door frames. Burn marks and melted stuff all around fireplace. Exposed wires from missing ceiling lights in bedroom, on 2 sets of exposed wires hanging on porch. Photos do not show deficiencies.
