Beautiful renovated bungalow (with about 80 square meters) right on the lake with lots of privacy. Just one flight of stairs and you're in the water. Incredible view over the lake, large, partially covered terrace with open fireplace with barbecue, 3 bedrooms (1 double bed / 2 bunk beds), newly renovated bathroom with shower / toilet, washing machine, kitchen with 4 ceramic hob - oven with convection, dishwasher, microwave and large refrigerator with freezer. Small garden to relax. Two surfboards are available for paddling. The parking lot is in front of the house.

Summary: The rest and peace we found here, accompanied with the stunning views over the lake, was like a present for us, especially after leaving behind our busy lifes back home. Unfortunately we had to leave after having stayed here for only two days due to the deceasing of my father. Mr. Fisher was very understanding and offered to refund a part of our trip, without a request from our side. We'll be back next year and we would definately recommend this property to our friends/family.

Summary: This was a brilliant find for numerous reasons. The property is a family home which is then rented out so lacks for nothing – you want to make your own pasta well you can because there is a pasta maker as a for instance. Thus cannot be faulted and the recently renovated bathroom is a stylish wet room with a great shower. Location is also brilliant with the water literally lapping below the balcony and a few steps to climb down to the water itself. We were also surprised the lake temperature was far warmer than we were expecting for a mountain lake but was still refreshing for a dip. We visited late June. The lake environment is stunning with mountains in all directions and opposite the property the lake is not very developed because the road does not run fully around the lake on that side. Actually the whole of Lago Idro is relaxed with the very low level of tourism not disturbing the local pattern of life. There is an abundance of water fowl on the lake which are most amusing to watch protecting their turf and looking after their young. Peter was a great host and was quick to respond to our questions and provided great advice. He also underplays the fact that the garden is some 10 plus metres by about 6 so not really that small and it is possible to in the sun or in natural shade for 90 per cent of the day as you choose. The eastward facing aspect means you enjoy the morning sun and the cool in the evening as the house moves into shade in the late afternoon. A car/motorbike is a must for this property and with it you have ready access to deli food locally with bigger supermarkets about 10-15 minutes away. Lake Garda is reached in around an hour as is Brescia and both are great places to visit and experience life at a faster pace before returning to the tranquility of Lago Idro. This was a great stay and we very much hope to return in the future to do some hiking and cycling.
