Summary: The location on top of a hillside was perfect for peace and quiet and great views, but with easy access (by car) down to the lively town and the A3 for visits to the local sites. We loved the terrace for eating, and relaxing. The villa was spacious and well equipped - like others, with the heat this summer, we would have appreciated fans in the rooms. WIFI and pool access were a must for our teenage children. We were slightly concerned by limited times for access to the shared pool, but this did not prove to be a problem for us. Summary: We stayed here 5 nights, and chose this place in large part because of the pool for our kids; however, the pool is next door at the owner's other rented villa, and guests at this house (6585144) are only allowed to use the pool from 10am-6pm (prime hours for going out visiting the sites). Our kids were constantly wanting to cut the day's activities short just to get back to the pool. This information should be made available on this website and highlighted prior to booking. It is also worth knowing that when you arrive (after a long flight and having paid a deposit), you will be presented with a 5-6 page contract entirely in Italian, with pictures and descriptions of all the furniture (including details on age of the furniture). You are required to sign this contract (despite having no idea what it actually says) before your stay starts. I am not a lawyer, but to me this seems like signing under duress (you have no option but to sign after you have already paid a deposit and arrived in Italy with no where else to stay) - the owner should provide a copy of the contract (in English) before you pay your deposit, and should not expect the renter to sign documents that relate to the age of the furniture (I have no idea whether some table is from the 1800s). A couple of other issues: - when we were there, it was 35-38C every day, and the rooms were VERY hot at night - there is no air conditioning, and not even ceiling fans ... it was very difficult to sleep some nights (we had to leave the curtains and windows open at night just to survive) - the general cleanliness of appliances was not great - the coffee maker had not been cleaned out in some time, and the laundry detergent holder in the washing machine was caked up with detergent - there were very limited supplies, particularly for cleaning up messes (ie. paper towels, etc) The plus points: - the outdoor area (eating and relaxing) was really nice, with a great view - the overall location of the house was good, with quick highway access and a grocery store about 5-7 minutes away - the owner and his family were friendly, and helped with info about activities and even getting some wine
