Summary: First I have to state, that the landlord, Gianni, is a very nice person and I feel sorry that I cannot write a nicer review. This is not a house - even though it is listed in the category "Houses". In fact it is the first floor of a house and it has an own entry and a large garden. But underneath on the ground floor there is another apartment. While we were there there was a big family with children and dogs and grandparents. In fact, it was them who decided when we went to bed and when we got up. This is what you can expect when you rent an apartment, but we actuallay rent a house ("villa"). Neither the landlord nor the agency offered us any- not even a symbolic compensation for that. Apart from that, the aparment has a wonderful terrace, from where you overlook the huge parking, but you can also see the sea and the palmtrees. You only have to cross the parking to reach a very nice beach, so the location is great. The furniture really needs an update: the sofa was literally unseatable. The parents' bed was so hard and you could feel the springs of the matrasss very much. The bed in the extra room was like a hammock. The freezer did not work very well. The air condition did a good job and was needed. The mosquito screens on each window were of very good quality. After all we left with mixed feelings.

Summary: This house was exactly as described in Homelidays. It has intact mosquito screens on all windows and the door. It was spotlessly clean. San Lorenzo beach was a 5 minute walk , and there was one restaurant beside the beach. The nearby village of Marzamemi had lots restaurants, as did the towns of Noto, Modica and Ragusa. We got lovely fresh produce from the farmer at the top of the road by the SP19.
