Summary: This gave us what we were looking for, rural and relaxing. The weather was the let down not the accommodation. We had everything we needed. The cottage is close to the road ( though not busy) but it meant there was some road noise and we could not have the dog off the lead. However, there are walking routes that run adjacent to the property where it was safe to have off lead walks. The village was within walking distance and has a shop but on the days we went in there was no where open to sit outside and have a coffee.

Summary: Quiet and comfortable cottage on the outskirts of a small village that has the basics - grocery and restaurants and a beautiful historical abbey. Lots of walking paths and the grounds are spacious, green with lots of sitting areas. This was our second stay and both times it provided us with a great place to rest after arriving in Paris. It is about two hours east of CDG.

Summary: It was an easy drive from Charles de Gaulle airport and we were so happy to find this charming, peaceful, well equipped cottage. Lots of lawn for our two small dogs to enjoy and many walking loops near the house for enjoyable walks. It was the perfect place to rest up for the rest of our trip. The hosts thought of everything and made our stay very comfortable. Their recommendations for Champagne houses to visit were excellent. If we find ourselves in this area again, we will not hesitate to stay here.

Summary: La Petite Auberge is a lovely cottage in the countryside. Nice big rooms with good beds. I really enjoyed the big garden, for lounging and eating outside. Bakery is at walking distance, so we also had nice fresh croissants at breakfast. Beautiful countryside and of course.. lots of Champagne vineyards Last but not least, Eliane and Hubert gave us a warm welcome!

Summary: If you are looking for a place away from everything, then this will suit. On the outskirts of a small village one really needs to be prepared to drive for most things. We were there in July when the only village bakery was closed for vacation which was inconvenient for us. Our host was very helpful and made us feel welcome.

Summary: Spacious House with large dining area and upstairs lounge. Main bedroom downstairs with double bed, upstairs second bedroom with twin beds. Lounge area could sleep 2 ( or more) on sofabeds. Comfortable living. House backs onto road which was a little busy (vehicle every 15 seconds at busy times) but not intrusive of noise within the house. Second gite shares large garden area with seating in front of house. Parking area and garage. Very pleasant and helpful owners who speak English and much better than my French. Village has very interesting abbey - worth a visit, two food places and a small shop or two. Trampoline and outdoor equipment for children if required. Very enjoyable stay visiting local towns, drinking Champagne and generally relaxing.
