Summary: The pictures don't do this place justice. The house was very cozy and smelled amazing. Our dog loved the fully fenced in yard and the walking trail at the end of the road. This is a perfect place to stay if you are traveling with your dog, or plan on cooking meals because the kitchen is very spacious.

Summary: The owner walked in on my girlfriend as she was lying on the couch, I was visiting my family so no car in driveway and she thought nobody was home, not good. The house had a bad odor, the the bed was terrible, was relived to get out of the house and back home. The hostess was very nice except for the home invasion part. I would not recommend this rental to anyone.

Summary: This property is one of the nicest we've ever stayed in -- clean, comfortable, and full of personality and small luxuries. Alyssa is a responsive, flexible, and friendly host, and she accommodated our special requests (late checkout, having a guest visit) without hesitation. We have two small dogs, so we loved that the home is a quiet, standalone building with total privacy, and that the yard is very safe with a good fence, no poison ivy, no old poop, and comfortable chairs for humans to sit and watch the dogs play. We also loved that the Lake County Forest Preserves Millennium Trail has a trailhead just steps away from the property; the house is near the edge of the neighborhood where it borders natural prairieland with wildflowers (and wildlife -- another dog walker warned us coyotes sometimes come out in the park after dark). The trail has both paved and gravel sections well suited to recreational cycling. We hope to come back for a longer visit next time!

Summary: My family and I spent the week driving and needed a comfortable place to spend our last two nights. This was the perfect spot. The house was close to what we needed. It was clean and comfortable for my family of 3. Alyssa was great at communicating how to get into the house and let us know anything about that house that we needed to know. The backyard was peaceful and a great place to spend some quiet time. There were drinks available in the refrigerator for use to enjoy and pantry items as well. I'm happy we were able to stay here as guests and if I'm in the area again, I would happily stay here.

Summary: Great home and an even better host. The host is awesome at communicating even before the trip is close. She was always willing to answer any questions we may have had. The property was very neat and clean. The yard is fully fenced in and is a great place to end or begin your day with nice lawn furnishings and decor. There is a trail access that is a relaxing walk with lots of wildlife (in the summer at least when we were there) the neighborhood is friendly and quiet. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking to stay.
