Positive: The remote location meant exceptionally quiet nights with no noise from other people. Very peaceful and ideal for a completely relaxing break
Negative: The remote location does mean it’s not easy to just nip to the shop or take a walk on the beach etc. the drive up to the property isn’t for the faint hearted with very steep, winding and narrow tracks. Mostly done in first gear with the A/C off otherwise you wouldn’t make the trip. The property is only a few KM inland but is at around 1400 feet above sea level to give an idea of the climb. It’s pretty DIY when you are there. (No pool cleaner or housekeeper in two weeks) but as long as your ok being self sufficient that’s fine. The host was very good when contacted and any real probs were sorted immediately. We had exceptionally hot weather and with no A/C it was very hot in the property at night so sleep was a problem at times. Not complaining about anything, especially given the price paid . We have stayed in far worse places which cost double and we would return for a short get away from it all break. Just a bit too isolated for our two week holiday this time.
