Large Beach House (5 beds/4 baths) in very private, beautiful location with miles of deserted beaches and sand bars... Comfortable airy screened-in porch & large cedar front deck for lounging. Wonderful ocean view from every room! Great front room with leisurely couches, 24' high ceilings and 12' wide sliding glass doors opening to terrace. Cosy alternate seating area with leather couch and Lazy-Boy contemporary recliners around wood burning fireplace. Separate TV room with comfortable seating, wide screen plasma TV, satellite reception and home theatre system. Fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including dishwasher, side by side fridge & freezer with filtered water and ice dispenser, wall built-in convection (Bosch) and microwave ovens, countertop gas cooking surface, large work island with double sink and ocean view while preparing meals! Separate laundry room with washer and dryer. Large walk-in shower on the main level with four jets, handheld wand and overhead water.

Summary: I’d read all the previous reviews on how amazing this find was, and still we were blown away! The “cottage” was incredible. The location was simply breathtaking , with the beach literally just down the front lawn, the sandbars are endless, and the walks on the beach provided endless shelling and sea glass hunting. Blue herons greeted us, the local rabbit was a daily treat, a silver fox ran across in front of us (the rabbit still returned the next day) and the seal visited. 5 min through a field on a dirt road assures you are isolated, yet within 15 min reach of town with Tim’s and groceries + a quaint lighthouse. The cottage was very, very well designed with breathtaking views of the ocean from most beds. To say that Jovette and Lawrence have it very well setup with quality is an understatement. There is everything from thick towels and water shoes, to a gas stove and perfect pots, and even an espresso maker (which of course has perfect cups and spoons and even a tiny whisk). The beds were comfy and pillows abound. The plants and flowers (inside and out) show the depth of love and care. The hosts were very, very responsive to any questions. We had a local artist (Maurice Bedard) over and he was also amazed at the telescope and binoculars that allowed you to see the beautiful rock formations across the bay. I simply cannot say enough!

Summary: The house was wonderful, as advertised and the communications with the owners was excellent . Everyone enjoyed our stay. The location requires travel on a dirt road which wasn’t an issue for us - it meant more privacy. The house is well stocked with everything you may need. There are 5 beds/bedrooms and a cot if you need it for an 11’th adult. Note that the vrbo listing indicates a crib but doesn’t highlight the cot. We would love to return in the future if we have the opportunity.

Summary: What an incredible spot on a quiet, private part of Howe Bay, with stunning views including daily visits by seals, and the most beautifully and thoughtfully appointed cottage we’ve ever rented. It was hard to leave it to explore the island! We had a truly memorable family vacation and would rent this special place again in a heartbeat. Thank you Jovette and Lawrence!

Summary: This VRBO is absolutely beautiful. 8 people and a dog and there was lots of room to sit together or to spread out. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the kitchen is so well-equipped that taking turns preparing meals worked out well.. and sometimes we worked together on them. The proximity to the water is great and there was a lot of canoeing and kayaking going on. Watching the tides come in and go out was fascinating and there was something there for everyone!!

Summary: Our group had an exceptional stay in this lovely home. Everything was just perfect from the comfy beds, to the beautiful gardens. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and the location gives you access to the best food the island has to offer--whether you dine out or bring it in. Jovette and Lawrence have created a very comfortable home in the loveliest place. If you enjoy walking the shoreline at low tide-, reading and lazing on the deck watching the herons and seals who visit nearby--or even making your way into any of the communities-- this is the ideal spot to explore PEI. While we never met our hosts in person, we felt comfortable knowing they were only a phone call away if we needed anything. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when we return to PEI. Thank you~

Summary: This is an annual get together for a group of 4 couples. We have done three years of house boating , one year of cabins and then we found How Bay Beach House! It checks EVERY box!!

Summary: W had a great stay at this lovely cottage, more of a home than a holiday cottage. It's off the beaten track, which suited us fine, enjoying slow starts with coffee on the gorgeous deck and evenings playing games in the living room. We weren't expecting a rutted dirt road in, but taking it slow was ok. The house is lovely, lots of room for our party of 2 parents and 5 adult young people. The weather wasn't great, but we got out on the little beach and walked, and used the kayaks and canoe. Not really a swimming trip!We enjoyed watching the herons, cormorants and seals in the bay. It was central enough that we were able to visit a few places: Souris light house, Montague, Basin Head beach, Charlottetown for supper one night and Greenwich park for hiking while we were there. The kitchen was fantastic, very well stocked with everything we needed to cook with: we also used the pellet BBQ and cooked our own lobsters in the big pot. We loved the coffee maker and espresso/cappuccino maker. It was a bit rainy, so the rooms felt a bit damp and there were a lot of mosquitos, but we lit the coils and chased them away. All around a great visit to the Island.
