Summary: We recently spent a wonderful weekend at Hut on the Hill. The accommodation was clean, inviting and provided all the comforts of home. Our first night was rather warm which allowed us to make the most of the swim spa. The water temperature was just right to cool off in the afternoon heat. Ceiling fans in the bedroom and aircon in the living areas were more than adequate to keep the heat at bay inside. We enjoyed a lovely BBQ on the deck while star gazing (turn off the house lights and be amazed). Such a treat to see so many stars on a clear night. There were kangaroos, birds, sheep and other wildlife to watch during the day. We even had 3 little sheep come nosing up to the bedroom door, bleating away (I actually thought it was hubby snoring at first). The kitchen was very well stocked with ample cutlery, crockery, wine glasses and cooking utensils. There is a pod coffee machine and a variety of pods to choose from. The fridge and cupboards contained condiments and things that you may have forgotten to bring with you. I would suggest bringing breakfast food with you to cook whilst you have a lazy start to the day as it is a bit of a drive to the nearest café etc. We had two a wonderful night’s sleep in the king bedroom. The bed was super comfy. The adjoining bathroom was very big and even though we didn’t make use of the spa bath, I am planning time on our next trip to make use of it. The driveway has been recently graded and we experienced no issues in reaching the Hut. Yes, the driveway is a little steep, but you are going up a hill, so it stands to reason. It is certainly do-able in almost any car I would have thought. The property owners are lovely to deal with. The instructions that you receive a couple of days before your stay are clear and give you all the directions you need. Unfortunately, we left a couple of things behind (we were in holiday mode and didn’t check the cupboard properly) and they have offered to keep our things safe for a couple of weeks until we are next in the area. So in closing, we had a lovely weekend and would love to stay again. Next time maybe in winter so we can make use of the log fire and the outside fire pit.

Summary: The stay at Hut on the Hill was exactly what we had hoped for, the location was great. So peaceful to sit on the deck or in the spa and enjoy the views and serenity of nature. Only wish we had better reception or wifi at the property

Summary: Beautiful views, kangaroos in the paddocks, beautiful birdlife, fireplace and spa bath all contributed to a comfortable and relaxing weekend. I'm sensitive to strong fragrances so was very happy that it was a really clean accommodation without the overwhelming smell of washing powder and fragrances. Had no problem with the driveway. Yes it's a little rough, but easily negotiated in our little Yaris. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a weekend in Heathcote region.

Summary: Absolutely loved staying at this property. It’s close enough to Heathcote but so remote that you feel like you’re on your own. Loved it. I will definitely book this place again. The only thing is it’s out of 4G range and there is no Wifi. So connecting to the net or messages is a struggle. I was hoping to get some work done but found it hard to tether. Also more firewood during winter would have been great but we fixed that little issue. Either way, if you want a great secluded break away from hustle and bustle come here. It’s beautiful. And Yvonne was really lovely to deal with. Thanks for your hospitality. I will be back.

Summary: Beautiful location it’s a shame the accuracy of the listing was incorrect If you do not have a four-wheel-drive you will not be able to access the property as the driveway goes up a mountain there is a lot of potholes and it is very Steep etc. Second the spa that was shown which was the only reason we rented this property had not one drop of water in it and it was very filthy underneath it did state that the spa was not in use in the winter times but unfortunately it is not winter that was very disappointing as we did not get to use that. Call the beds were very nice but it’s a shame there is no Wi-Fi the property is very an accessible and the main feature they promote is the spa outside which was not in use and we did not get told about this until we had to call them when we arrived. It’s pretty disappointing as we wanted to get away for the weekend for the first time in a long time
