Summary: No A/C? When we arrived we found out the hotel hadn’t had air conditioning since Monday. We showed up on Friday and were told they had installed a new unit but that didn’t seem to be the case cause it was the hottest most miserable hotel experience I ever had. Also this happened 5 days before we arrived and no one could reach out and tell us or let us know if we wanted to make other accommodations that would be an option because of no A/C at the hotel. Not very accommodating, rooms were trashed and not great shape. Handles falls off the shower, just very poor and will be reaching out to Hyatt corporate cause what I paid is not nearly worth what we got.

Summary: Beautiful spot to stay while we attended a function at Marina Jack’s. We took a $2 shuttle bus from Sarasota Airport (about 10 minute trip). When it came time to go to the marina, we decided to walk which only took about 15 minutes. Friendly people, great service. While i agree with other reviewers about the hotel needing updating, for me it did not affect our stay at all. I would definitely stay here again!

Summary: Our stay could’ve been made better by any sort of recognition or sincerity from the front desk staff. No one was flat out rude, but we spoke with the team members almost daily and not one person asked how we were enjoying our stay, or wished us a good day with a smile when we were heading out. A friend tried to send us a bottle of champagne for our wedding celebration just to be told it simply can’t be done without any explanation or other alternative offering. Meanwhile, I requested a bottle of champagne be sent to the room for my husbands birthday a few days prior and they were able to make it happen. Even upon checkout I asked if anything else needed to be done besides dropping off keys and was just told “I’m all set” without a smile or a simple well wish for safe travels. The accommodations were wonderful however, but the general tone from staff was lacking any sort of pleasantries. My husband and I both come from service/hospitality and are very understanding that bad days happen, but to be treated this way for our entire stay was disappointing.

Summary: Price was not as advertised on hotel.com website. First a $30 per night “resort fee” was added then $45 per night parking valet parking fee was added. No self parking was allowed. With tax on these 2 extra fees the real price was over $80 more than the listed price. Bait and switch at its finest. Also the hotel is dated and in poor condition. A very wobbly desk in the room was ready to collapse and hurt someone. A probably damaged piece of carpet was cut and a piece was sewed in. Looked poor.

Summary: The service, cleanliness, and amenities are excellent. The hotel is also walking distance from restaurants and activities. Unfortunately, the construction next to the hotel work us up at 5:00 am. The noise was nonstop. It also ruined our plans to relax by the pool before heading home.

Summary: What had been the hotel's self-serve parking lot is now a construction site for a large multi-story building. Parking is only by VALET and costs $45 per night. Rooms are "old school" with double beds (NOT Queen size). You should expect to pay a "resort fee" whether you use the amenities or not. I find the facility overpriced for what is offered.

Summary: Hyatt Hotel has amazing views! This hotel is beautiful and in a great location downtown near lots of great restaurants. It was very cold outside, and we opted to eat at the hotel restaurant for dinner (tenderloin medallions) and the food and service was wonderful. From valet to Check-in to Check-out we felt welcome. I would definitely stay here again!
