Positive: Great staff, clean room, and quite close to the city centre.

Negative: - Terrible sound insulation - we could hear every step of our neighbour's morning routine. Some sounds travelled perfectly trough the concrete so that each time the neighbours' toilet was flushed or the shower drain was touched, we heard it as if we were in the bathroom with them. It's a big structural flaw for a space designed for sleep; the night was short. The owners must know about the problem, since earplugs were placed on our table. - The interiors look like a dentist's practice: white walls everywhere and few warm finishes. It's a shame since it must've been refurbished quite recently. - Better options available at similar prices : the Beaulac at least has nice views and practically identical prices (and it's a 4 star). A relatively small premium gets you La Maison du Prussien with incredible interiors and a good restaurant. I haven't tried them, but I will if I ever come back to Neuchatel. - I just don't see how the 8.5 is justified at these prices: maybe the competition is limited. I just thought it would be good to know.
