Positive: The staff at reception were all incredibly kind, helpful and welcoming, and made my stay a true pleasure from the very beginning, helping me with a lot of information (it was my first time in Algeria) and with useful tips. Always with a smile. The hotel is also very well located, it does had a true boutique hotel feel and the breakfast is exceptional! The best cakes ever

Negative: The only possible comment is that I would have liked to have more tea options for breakfast, but that is an extremely minor point for a really excellent experience.

Summary: Lovely staff, excellent rooms and location, delicious breakfast

Positive: This hotel hit all the important marks for me personally. It is walkable from a lot of the action in the city, just up the hill from the main street and a walk away from attractions like the Grande Poste, the port, and Great Mosque, and the Casbah. We were able to get around with minimal taxi rides, including to some great restaurants close by. Our room had everything I want: a comfortable bed, a clean and functional bathroom, a way to make coffee, enough outlets to charge devices, and a small safe. It also had extras, like a great balcony. The breakfast was very good, well above what most hotels offer. Fresh fruit, really good pastries, a bunch of hot food, and espresso drinks and juice. One of the best hotel breakfast buffets I've seen, honestly.

Negative: The price we paid was a bit too high, because we foolishly went with the official state exchange rate and later learned that you can do currency exchange for better rates if you find the right people or businesses. Bring cash and exchange the money beforehand. Still we didn't really regret it, even with the high payment. And that's not the hotel's fault.

Summary: Great hotel, would book again for Algiers.
