Summary: This is a very functional and inexpensive Ibis-hotel, which for obvious reasons are highly rated by customers. We arrived late yet were able to get parking inside the secured parking lot. The town is pretty bland, and the drive from the motorway to Bethune is anything but exciting. But the hotel makes up for this with a cosy and well-equipped bar. The breakfast is also a great value option to add…

Summary: The hotel itself is beautiful — modern, stylish, and surprisingly quiet even though my room was right next to the lift. The communal areas are bright and inviting. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the space. On arrival the staff seemed moody and struggled with English, and I couldn’t pay for parking or even the soup I ordered (which was terrible). Checkout the next morning was chaotic: the receptionist’s laptop died, she was serving coffee while guests queued, and her attitude was quite rude and confrontational. It took far too long to pay and check out, which really overshadowed an otherwise lovely stay.

Summary: Staff were very helpful and efficient. Rooms and hotel are very modern with a good lounge and bar. Breakfast was nice with a reasonable choice. I would recommend it to anyone. Secure parking on site was reassuring. Very close to the train station but no issue with noise.

Summary: Great hotel, nice and clean. Parking a big fuss, never any space left in the hotel car park (which I paid full price for every day) on a night, have to park in the car park out the back which is free. But doesn’t open till 9:30am so have to get someone to unlock the gate or you are stuck!
