Positive: The location and price of the place is the real attraction. A room in more central Glasgow will cost you extra - at the Ibis you're at worst a 10-15 minute walk from the centre with a bus stop being located outside the location. The staff were pleasant and knowledgable of local bus times and anything else you require. The room was small and the view was... expected. However, at this price point I really wasn't expecting much more.
Negative: The entrance was not the most welcoming, having to enter through the car park was odd. Not much you can do about that I suppose - the outside gate that you access from the street however looked very rough. Not somewhere I would feel very safe entering at later hours. My biggest gripe with my stay was standard of the cups & cutlery. Every cup, spoon etc, had some sort of stain and smelled like it was washed under a tap for 5-10 seconds before being dried off with a damp cloth. Something like this could be amended very easily. I have a hard time believing this has not been brought up before. The beds were not the most comfortable and the TV felt like something straight from 2005. Still, It is called "Budget" for reason...

Positive: The property was okay. I would say it is a typical 3 star experience. Could have been better, could have been worse. It was clean and tidy. Staff was friendly.
Negative: The double bed in our room had a baby bed extension above it, although I made the booking only for my girlfriend and for myself. It is installed too low and my girlfriend hit her head in it badly.
Summary: Typical 3 star experience with unwanted baby bed.

Positive: Breakfast ran out of brown bread, no eggs, no butter or margarine, ran out of beans, coffee machine malfunctioned. It seemed like not enough staff to cope with customers? No visible bins for recycling
