Positive: Location was good - near Gare du Nord so lots of cafes/bars and convenient for Eurostar - but it is not a great area to walk in alone/and not a beautiful area. Staff friendly.. Room was clean and looked after during my stay. Could fill up water bottle at reception.
Negative: The view from room was a brick wall - horrible. The room was near a generator or tank outside and the noise kept me up every night for hours. The room was airless and tiny - there was nowhere to put my case but the floor and this took up all the space. The dressing table/desk was so narrow that I could not use for a small lap top and I had to do my work sitting on the bed. I have stayed in the hotel before (not with booking.com) and had good rooms - so this might just be a bad room (Room 502). There is no locker in the room - but you can use one at reception. The lift was quite dirty.
Summary: Good location for Eurostar but room disappointing.

Positive: The hotel is extremely close to the Gare du Nord, which came in handy since there was a Metro strike and it was raining when we arrived.
Negative: I realise that the price was not high compared with the competition but still I found it shocking how expensive any hotels in Paris are now. It cost 90% more (1.9 times) than a much much better room that we had in Nice last year. One of the worst things was that the towels seemed not clean. Maybe they were left from the previous guests because the next day we had clean ones. They did put us in one of the quietest rooms - as requested, which was good but I am a light sleeper and, even with the soundproofing I could hear motorbikes and the odd siren, so I had earplugs in all night. A smaller thing was the bathroom had huge French windows which were only frosted, with the lavatory right beside them. The building was smaller and older than any of the other Ibises that we've stayed in.
Summary: Convenient but expensive for what it is.

Positive: Stayed there for one short night and had everything needed for that, comfy beds, clean room. The location next to the train station, it was very convenient for catching the train early morning. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Negative: The room is very tiny, but that's to be expected in Paris.

Positive: Nice room, very good location. Only real problem was the WiFi, which neither of us could connect to. Staff at desk tried to help but could only try the codes again, which didn't work. Otherwise, very comfortable and really convenient for Gare du Nord.
