If you're looking to spend the day relaxing under the sun and on the shore; you're only a short walk or drive to the beach but far enough away from the crowds of Surfside Beach and Galveston for peace and quiet. With vacant lots on both sides of the house you are never bothered by noisy neighbors!
The tranquil beach vibe of this beautiful aqua beach house sets the stage for your perfect beach getaway. With 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an open main living space, 2 massive decks, a patio with fire pit & TiKi type bar, this place is the perfect size for groups of 4-10. BYOB and have drinks on the decks while enjoying moon and sunrises.
The roadside deck, "back" deck, is where you can watch the sun or moon set over the bay. I love watching the boats and tugboats with their barges travel up and down the Intracoastal Canal. Their multi-colored lights remind me of Christmas. If you are lucky you can watch the majestic sailboats seeming to float on the air as they traverse the Intracoastal Canal.
Night stands in each bedroom have USB ports so you can stay connected! Each bedroom has extra linens in the chest of drawers.
The lift can accomodate a wheelchair or walker for those with mobility issues. It's also a plus for carryng up supplies and belongings . An open floor plan makes it easy to maneuver in a wheelchair.. Please remember the lift is not for children to ride in!
An oversized shower in the Jack n Jill bathroom accomodates a removable shower bench with a pivoting seat. Three grab bars make it easy to get in and out of the shower. The ADA height toilet has a fold-up grab bar that can be tipped up to the wall if not in use. The linen closet in this bathroom has extra towels plus beach towels. The thin beach towels are ideal as they shed sand and dry quickly.
In the living room is an electric recliner with a lift seat. It's perfect for folks that have a tough time moving or just flexing stiff joints! The open floorplan makes it easy to accomodate everyone. There is a Smart TV and internet for those who need entertainment. The couch is a fullsize bed ideal for cozying up to watch a movie or your favorite sports team. Go Astros!
The master bedroom has a very comfortable Queen size bed. Next to the bed is a lamp with USB ports. There is a reading nook with an antique rocking chair and a corner floor lamp. This bedroom is connected to the Jack n Jill bathroom. From this room you also have private access to the front deck and a view of the beach.
Blackout curtains in each bedroom make it easy to enjoy an afternoon nap.
The bunkbed room has a trundle bed for that extra guest. A bookcase hold games, coloring books and reading materail for kids of all ages. Behind the bunkbed is a travel crib/playpen with mattress. This can be taken downstairs so you can keep an eye on your little one while you enjoy the Gulf breezes. This room is also connected to the Jack n Jill bathroom.
On the opposite side of the house is the Flamingo room. A large watercolor of a Flamingo stands watch. Next to the bed is a lamp with USB port. The beautiful wrought iron bed has a view of Drum Bay. A linen closet in the hall holds extra towels. Next to this room is a full bath. Also, on this side of the house is a bedroom with an electric Kingsize bed that is not only adjustable but very comfortable! It has a removable hand/guardrail. Lamps on both sides of this bed have USB ports.
Downstairs are two barbeque pits where you can grill comfortably while enjoying the wonderful ocean breeze. Two outdoor dining tables provide seating for 10+. The patio with a fire pit is perfect for enjoying the evening with S'mores and Margaritas!
In the storage area under the house is a washer and dryer. You can wash and dry your beach and bath towels without going to a laundromat! Also, you will find charcoal and lighter fluid for the barbecue pits. Extra water is also stored downstairs. If you have kids that need entertaining there is sidewalk chalk, games and toys by the metal etagere in the storage area. You never know when plans have to change because of a Summer shower!
We have two outdoor showers. The large one has hot and cold water. It can accomodate a wheelchair or walker. It are grab bars as well as a sturdy bench seat. These are ideal spots to rinse off sand and salt before going upstairs. A cloths line for your bathing suits and towels is on the West side of the concrete pad.

Towards San Luis Pass you will find a Nature Trail with a beach. Early morning can leave you plenty of surprises for your shell collection. Take your binoculars and see how many different water birds you can identify.
