Positive: This was truly one of the most special places I have ever stayed. The property is set inside an incredibly old historic village/fortress, and the atmosphere feels as if time has stood still. Staying here felt less like renting an apartment and more like living inside a beautifully restored piece of history. The renovation is simply outstanding. The owner has blended centuries-old character with modern comfort in the most tasteful way imaginable. Every detail has clearly been chosen with care and top-quality materials. The interior feels like a private art gallery, filled with beautiful antiques, artwork, and thoughtful design touches everywhere you look. I loved spending time inside just admiring the craftsmanship and the way the historic elements were preserved and incorporated into the modern living space. The result is truly exceptional. The apartment was also stocked far beyond what you would expect from a typical short-term rental. Everything you might need for a comfortable stay was already there, and then some. Most importantly, the host was wonderful, kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. He went out of his way to make sure my stay was perfect and regularly checked in to see if I needed anything. His hospitality made the experience even more memorable. I absolutely loved staying here and would return without hesitation. If you have the opportunity to stay in this unique and beautiful property, don’t think twice, you will not regret it.

Positive: Amazing host Silvio met us and brought a welcoming bottle of wine. The apartment is very well designed and organized,freshly decorated with beautiful details. It is a former castle town,beautiful,old,historic. Everything you might need for cooking is provided in the kitchen. Small induction cooker,fridge,microwave,air-con/heater,large smart tv set. Some dry foods,pasta, biscuits,tea, 2 types of coffee,salt,sugar,pepper,small bottles of water. Entrance hallway has air-con/heater. Upstairs small hallway also has a air-con/heater. Bedroom has a comfy, beautiful bed,with space to hang your clothes. Bathroom is spacious, beautiful and very clean with toilet, bidet, large shower and sink.There is also a large towel dryer rack/heater. Toilet paper,shower gel,shampoo,hand soap provided by the host. Towels,bedding sheets are of great quality. Ironing board and iron stored in the storage room downstairs. The apartment is very super super clean!!!!!! It is also incredibly quiet, great escape from noisy towns. For parking the car there are several free spots right in front of the house. Easily reachable from Montevarchi. Supermarket only 5 min drive,or about 10-12 min walking.
Negative: Everything was great!!!!!!

Positive: Very nice spacious 2-floor appartment with a separate entrance and a balcony. The hosts are very friendly and easy to communicate. The appartment is freshly renovated-all new, beautiful and with design vibes. It is even much better in reality than on photos. Very good option and value for money. The only downside-is a bit out of main roads but then you get better living option for a fair price.

Positive: Beautiful house overlooking the rolling hills of Montevarchi. It is situated in a quiet area but within walking distance from a larger food store. Well equiped kitchen, nice porch outside to sit and enjoy an espresso in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. Everything in the apartment feels nice and clean and the property is very well managed. I had no problem finding parking close to the apartment. When things go wrong during the vacation is when you want a man like Silvio to be your landlord. I had an accident on my bicycle and ended up in the hospital and Silvio took time and came down to the emergency room to help translate, support me and drive me home. He also found out where my bicycle ended up and brought it home to me. I am sure Silvio leaves no guest behind and he is a generous, kind and helpful person. I really enjoyed my stay at Il Sassello and I hope to come back some time.

Positive: This is a beautiful space. Everything is new and perfect, recently renovated by the owner with great care. Even though we reserved at the last minute, our host took great care to communicate with us and meet us upon arrival. He took excellent care of us, gifted us a bottle of wine from a neighboring vineyard and brought us biscotti and vin santo for dessert. The house was sparkling clean, has great A/C and a well stocked kitchen. We ended up here somewhat unexpectedly ao didn't have time to explore the area but the view from the terrace was lovely and we got great pizza just down the road. Exceptional value and would highly recommend Il Sassetto.
Negative: Wifi occasionally did not work.

Positive: We stayed at this property for 10 nights, and it was perfect for a longer stay. The location is excellent – you get to experience the authentic atmosphere of the Tuscan countryside, while still being within easy reach of places like Florence and Siena for day trips. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The host was extremely friendly and handled everything professionally. We warmly recommend this place to everyone!
