Positive: The host Anzhela was very helpful, she made quite a few recommendations of local restaurants and places to visit we otherwise wouldn't know. The house is very cosy and had many board games for the kids. Kitchen was well stocked, I felt very at home. The location is quiet but easy access to the beach on foot. We enjoyed walking up and down the mountain. Streets are narrow, but my husband enjoyed the narrow Italian roads.

Summary: It was very pleasant and cosy.

Positive: Lovely quiet village away from the crowds. Great location if you like walking between villages and brilliant views. Property is comfortable and has everything you expect. Angela couldn’t have been more helpful as a host. Check out the tiny new village wine bar if you are near Gittana.

Negative: The property was great might be an idea to get some black out curtains for the bedrooms.

Positive: A house with personality, which we liked very much and where we felt at home. Equipped with absolutely everything necessary for four people. Accessible only by private car or taxi to and from Varenna. (which have convenient prices). The host is very welcoming, responsive and provides lots of helpful information. I especially appreciated that everything was very clean.

Negative: The whole area is gorgeous, even to explore on foot. I just wouldn't recommend it to anyone in August, everything is overcrowded. Definitely in extra season it's better and enjoyable!

Positive: Thank you so much for house. Everything were good, clean house with free parking near lake Como. Gorgeous house with garden. The owner has answered immidiately to us, if we have some questions. We have rest time at the house and wanna to return. Owner has written a lot of places which you can visit, I have appreciate it.

Positive: Beautiful mountainside village of Gittana. Need a car to get around. However, great hiking on Senterio trail and easy to walk up/down to lakeside swimming area.

Negative: Beautiful garden area. But not really comfortable to sit in. Simple parasol/table would make the garden a haven.

Summary: Loved the peaceful setting and would DEFINITELY come back to stay.

Positive: Our stay was perfect: The owner of the apartment is an extremely friendly person, always available for any questions and ready to help. The apartment is very clean and spacious, with plenty of storage cabinets, a beautiful garden (actually – 2 gardens), and a very well-equipped kitchen. Fair value for the price and excellent location! Note that it is better not to rely on public transportation in this area.
