Positive: Our stay here was simply outstanding. The accommodation is designed in beautiful traditional Romanian folk style – everything was clean, new, and absolutely charming. Parking was perfect for motorcycles, safely inside the courtyard. The host was amazing – he spoke excellent English, and in the evening we had a great conversation about his country. He even offered us his own homemade pálinka without asking for any extra payment. We enjoyed dinner on a gorgeous terrace, where he had prepared plates and cutlery for us free of charge. In the morning, as soon as we woke up, coffee was already prepared without us even having to ask. And just 10 meters from the accommodation is the famous Merry Cemetery, which we could enjoy all to ourselves early in the morning. A perfect place with true Romanian warmth and hospitality – highly recommended!

Summary: I highly recommend it – truly one of the most hospitable places you’ll find in Romania.

Positive: The location was perfect, it was easy to find and close to the Merry Cemetery. Literally, across the street. The place was lovely decorated, quiet and very comfortable. The staff was so very helpful. I checked in late and they waited for me, and every morning offered me coffee and asked if everything was to my satisfaction.

Negative: There is nothing I did not like. Everything was perfect and exceeded my expectations. The place next door was a great place to eat so everything was there.

Positive: The pension is basic but clean and comfortable. Ileana, the hostess, was wonderful. She was warm and friendly, and showed us her special cultural room and her crafts. She is a lovely person who made our visit very memorable.

Positive: Everything was perfect, from the sweet welcoming of the host with traditional brandy to the lovely traditional decoration, inside and outside the house is a perfect mix between modern and traditional lifestyle. If you are looking for a place to stay and feel the authentic Maramures vibe this is the spot. Also its clean, close to the village attractions, safe, has parking inside for 3-4 cars. The host, Ms. Ileana can give you nice suggestions for what to visit in the area.

It was quiet and I loved the traditional setting of the room, it also had all the amenities required to have a comfortable stay.
