This almost 3 acre lakefront retreat is perfect for families or friends looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life! Less than an hour east of Dallas, you can sit back and watch the sunset, catch a few fish from the dock, cookout on the deck, hang by the separate lighted fire pit, or just play games in the screened in porch. The house is newly renovated!
If you are into fishing, Lake Tawakoni boasts some of the best catfish and hybrids and Lake Fork is just a short 30 minute drive for the best bass fishing in the state!
The space
Relaxing and secluded 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom Lakehouse with LARGE detached 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom loft with kitchenette and living space.
Full functioning kitchen, well stocked with utensils/ dinnerware/ pots and pans. Living room with sectional couch and recliner. 75 inch SmartTV. High speed internet and wifi available to stream all your movies.
Ample outdoor space with screened in patio, back deck with built in hot tub, and separate concrete sitting area with fire pit and lights.
Our guest absolutely LOVE the large shaded back yard, the ample dock space with 2 sets of stairs leading into the water for lots of recreational fun and floats. Not to mention being able to also walk down to the sandy beach area for anyone that wants to walk in or launch off one of the included canoes or paddle-boards. Included for guest use is 2 electric/automatic boat lifts and platform lift for 2 jet skis.

Summary: The house was absolutely perfect for my husbands family! We all got our own bedrooms/bathrooms, cooked every single night, and enjoyed our private yard and boat dock. Even my 5 year old niece agreed - this was our best lake vacation yet! The hosts were prompt in communication, and very helpful and understanding - we would love to come back!

Summary: Wow. We stayed here the weekend before Thanksgiving for a reunion. The place was PERFECT! The view of the lake (beautiful sunrise AND sunset!!!) and the deer coming right up on the property made us feel like we were so far out in the country! Yet only about 1.5 hours from Plano. The house is incredibly stocked for any meal you might want to prepare. Having the seperate garage apt space is perfect if you have one family that wants to sleep early or late. We used the fire pit and loved sitting on the deck and just visiting. The beds are comfortable and have options for little kids. You get immediate response from the host if you have any questions or need anything. There's a wonderful deck if you had a boat or just to fish off of (which we did). You can get to hiking trails around the lake at the state park easily or into Rockwall if you want a bigger restaurant. But we got pizza from the local place and it was excellent too! TOTALLY excited to book this place again! A secret gem so close to home!
