Welcome to Ephraim Escape, hosted by Simple Life Rentals! This property is situated in a private and secluded residential setting, yet still minutes to downtown Ephraim. The amazing custom craftsmanship is shown through the entire home. Enjoy an evening on the back patio while nature surrounds you. Warm up on chilly evenings by the immaculate stone fireplace in the expansive living room. The kitchen is spacious and includes granite countertops and custom, hand-built cabinetry. The spacious master suite includes a built-in bed and dresser and includes a superior bathtub in the en-suite bathroom. The guest bedrooms and bathrooms are on the opposite side of the home to provide more privacy. The home also has a separate dining room, den and a bonus room above the garage. Everyone will feel like they are on an exclusive vacation while staying in this regal property.
*This property is located in a quiet community with neighbors and is geared towards quiet family vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors, we cannot accommodate parties at the property including bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions, or other rowdy gatherings.

Provided:
Bed linens, bath towels and kitchen towels are provided. Please bring beach towels.
We provide a starter pack of essentials which includes toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand soap and garbage bags. Due to septic systems, we do not provide facial tissue.
We also supply one travel size shampoo, conditioner and body wash per full bathroom.
Due to health and safety guidelines all pantry items must be removed between guests. Please bring cooking essentials you may need such as cooking oil/spray, salt, pepper and other spices, sugar, etc.

Summary: House was very nice. We had 6 adults and bedrooms worked well, except the master bed was too tall for the disabled person (or really any of us) to get into which meant the disabled person had to sleep in a room where she couldn't use the shower. Need to have a step stool in that room. The water heater was VERY inadequate. We ran out of hot water multiple times even though we coordinated/delayed showers. The water/ice dispenser in the fridge did not work at all, so we had to go buy ice. The acoustics in the open room area were terrible for those using hearing aids because of the high ceilings and lack of curtains. This needs to be stated for future renters to know. There were no instructions for connecting the Internet TV to the cable. There were no instructions for using the wood burning fireplace, nor the Nespresso machine. It was weird that the hinge pin on multiple bathroom doors were not in all the way.

Summary: The home is very nice on the interior. Comfortable beds. Nice amenities in the kitchen, laundry, HVAC. Very spacious for our group of 8 adults. Not-so comfortable furniture— too deep and too low for comfortable sitting. The exterior of the home is as pictured— mulch covering the “yard” area. No attempt at landscaping, which would have enhanced the enjoyment of the property, especially the patio area. Location was great for our purposes—very convenient to shopping and dining in Fish Creek, Ephraim and Sister Bay. Our stay Wes very comfortable. Unfortunately, check-in was difficult. The cleaning staff was apparently not sufficiently trained, and the house was not ready until 2.5 hours after check-in. When it was “ready” there were no sheets for the master bed (king). Finally, a supervisor came from Green Bay to provide sheets and make the bed at about 9:00pm. Another bed (queen) was made with a twin flat sheet, so we scrounged up another flat sheet to fit the bed. Once we got settled in, we enjoyed our stay, and I’m hopeful the issues we encountered will not be repeated for future guests.

Summary: Beautiful large home Dirty dishwasher: dirty dishes (had to hand wash Dish soap dispenser non functioning Not given 2 full rolls toilet paper per bathhrm - given 1 roll & 1/4 roll No toilet paper spindle in 1 bathrm 2 bathrm hand soap dispensers empty Wasp hives near entrance & 2 more along side of house Very slow internet service, no tv access Coffee maker clogged, had to clean w/vinegar Directions to enter front door incomplete Dealing w/Simple Life was a negative experience - no personalization (lvg messages with agent yawning & lapses btw response). Our family is tolerant & respectful, not demanding, but this experience was negative for us. We will no longer book with VRBO due to this 3rd party vendor Simple Life - much more complicated & VRBO has lost it’s personalization w/owner

Summary: The house was nice for our group. Only a couple of issues; lack of window coverings (really all bedrooms especially should have blinds), WiFi was very poor so couldn't do work or watch TV, and a chair broke under my husband at the dining room table while playing cards. Thankfully he didn't hit his head or get badly hurt. Would be nice to have hand towels for guests. The property/yard is beautiful.

Summary: We rented this home for a 10 day Christmas vacation in Door County —it was perfect for our family. The yard was great for our kids who spent most mornings outside playing in the snow. We could conveniently watch them through the large windows from the living area and kitchen. The house was fully stocked with most necessities. However, it was lacking serving platters for family-style dinners —not a big deal, we just made due by using extra dinner plates. Overall, we had a great experience renting this property.

Summary: There were dishes in the cupboard with food dried on them. The stove was dirty. There were only 7 of us, and we barely had enough mugs and wine glasses. Surprising for a place that sleeps 14. There was no ceiling fan, just wires hanging down. Not all of the outlets had covers. We could have overlooked all of that. But the biggest problem was the heating. We spent the whole weekend bundled up in blankets. The master bedroom was 60 degrees. We called maintenance about the heating. They were very friendly and responsive. We got an apology, but it didn’t fix the problem. The following morning, the master bedroom was 59 degrees. We had to call again. A technician was finally sent in. He apologized and told us it would take time. By the time we left we got it up to 63.
